I recently worked with a mom who wanted to share her story of working with my team. She wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but knew she wanted the extra touch of feeling gorgeous on her daughter’s big day.
Here’s a quick Q + A with Robin:
Charlotte: I’ve heard Mothers of the Bride tell me that sending an artist to do hair and makeup sets the stage for an exciting wedding day.
Robin: Absolutely! I wasn’t sure what to expect. I’m not 25, but still feel attractive. I wanted to feel beautiful too on my daughter’s big day. Plus, I was marrying the couple – so it was especially important.
Charlotte: What was your experience like with your makeup artist, Kelly?
Robin: Kelly was a professional. Really talented and so nice! I wanted to look natural and glow, and asked her to step it up so makeup would last all day. I haven’t heard “You look beautiful” so many times in years.
Charlotte: You asked for airbrush makeup. Why?
Robin: I read that airbrush makeup lasts all day, and it did – in fact all through the night. We had a party till about 3am. Pretty much the only thing I had to do was touch up my lipstick.
Charlotte: What advice would you give to other moms of the bride or even brides who want to look their best on a wedding day?
Robin: Weddings don’t happen every day and feeling beautiful sets the tone for a special event. Pictures (and feelings) last forever and this is your day to shine. I was really happy with the results and 5-star treatment.
