Kaitlyn and Pete met at Kaitlin’s first day at Providence College. Pete was her leader for a community service program before freshman year.
They were married at the same church (St Mary’s in Scituate, Ma) and had the the same venue (Scituate Harbor Yacht Club) as Kaitlin’s parents did almost 40 years ago. Family means everything to them so marring each other at the same spot as her parents was extremely special!
The view of the harbor from SHYC is so beautiful that they did not want to take away from it with decorations. Their colors were gray, gold, green and blue. They had little accents of gold everywhere. The brides bouquet was mostly whites and greens with a touch of blue. They had dark wood tables in the tent.
After changing their wedding date twice due to COVID-19, they were elated to have close family and friends in attendance.
Caitlin’s grandmother recently passed and right before she gave her a diamond and sapphire ring. Caitlin wore this ring on her wedding day as her “something blue”. She and Pete also use the same cake knife that her grandmother and grandfather used on their wedding day.
The week before their wedding they got a new puppy and had him pop in during the cocktail hour, what a treat! Photos were taken on SHYC’s launch boat right near the Scituate lighthouse.
