Elisabeth and Joe met through mutual friends during pride week in June 2013. He had recently moved to Boston and took a job at Moderna. He became good friends with one of his coworkers who recently met Elisabeth’s good friend from high school on match.com. They all became friends that weekend and have continued to stay good friends.
The couple did not have a clear-cut theme. They wanted the theme to be “Joe and Elizabeth”, everything unique and meaningful to them. The theme ended up being rustic/shabby chic. The colors were navy blue, gray and dusty rose.
They worked really hard to make certain their ceremony was personal and unique. They incorporated the Jewish seven blessings with a traditional unity candle, which they loved! They had family and friends say a blessing and light a candle. Everything was very personal and meaningful.
