Meet Our Featured Bride
Alexandra and Daniel’s story begins with an increasingly common theme for couples their age: a dating app. After some messages back and forth, they decided to met for their first date at Steel & Rye in Milton, Ma. They sat at the bar and shared a pizza, the conversation came surprisingly easy. After a few drinks they went their separate ways but agreed they should meet up again soon.
After several more dates they were interrupted by Covid. Despite the pandemic, they kept in touch and eventually made plans to meet again. Once again, everything clicked and they picked up right where they left off.
Their wedding theme was traditional summer elegance. The groomsmen wore traditional black tuxes, the bridesmaids wore light blue chiffon gowns, each in their own style. The bouquets and centerpieces were bright whites with pops of blue.
The wedding party sat at a farm table with a tablescape of wedding flowers and floating white candles. White seaglass was used for the name cards.
The bride walked down the aisle to the same song as her mother did on her wedding day. The couple borrowed the groom’s parents cake server for the traditional cutting of the wedding cake. The donut wall was a huge hit as was the whiskey and cigar bar.
Stressful in the moment, they will never forget the half hour that they spent singing songs in a random parking lot with their bridal party and parents after their trolley broke down. Thankfully, it was after the ceremony!
