Catherine and Matthew, 33, met while studying at the University of Saint Andrews in Scotland. Through a university email chain, they learned that they were both from the Boston area. Matthew arrived at Saint Andrews a few weeks before Catherine and invited her for dinner. She arrived jet lagged, empty-handed and with an unexpected guest. Dinner was delicious and the rest was history!
The bride and groom chose New England fall colors as the inspiration for their wedding day. The men wore black tuxedos and the women, black cherry colored dresses. The look? Classic and inspired by the past. And, for a touch of Scotland, the florist added thistle to the men’s boutonnieres.
Catherine and Andrew’s wedding was also on the same day as David Ortiz’s last home game. They chose Fenway Park for their photo shoot and arrived in a vintage Rolls Royce, welcomed by theMassachusetts State Police.
