How Low Can You Go?
Find the Perfect Heel Height for Your Wedding Day!
“What size heels should I wear?” As common as this question is, there really is no right or wrong answer. It all comes down to how comfortable you want or need to be on your wedding day. If you can’t imagine walking down the aisle in anything less than three inch heels, then go for it!
If a higher heel is really out of your realm, then consider these options:
- Try a smaller heel. There are some fabulous looks out there right now. Rock a kitten heel and be comfortable all day.
How about a wedge heel to prevent the wobble and walk without care on the lawn? Plus, they won’t get dusty, you can wear them for years to come. - Dressy sandals look great at an outdoor venue and they don’t have to break the bank. Try DWS Bridal and Evening Shoes for ideas.
- Or, sweet ballet flats might be just the thing for dancing the night away. Account for your hemline if you decide to go this path.
- Finally, you can always tough it out and wear a gorgeous high heel through the ceremony then switch to more comfy shoes. Who’s looking? You’ll probably be barefoot anyway.
Are you taller than your groom? Ask him to wear shoe lifts. Shoe lifts are inserts that are placed right inside the shoe and instantly lift the heel by one to two inches.
Whatever you decide to wear on your feet is ultimately up to you. Comfort, beauty and style? There’s no reason you can’t have them all!
