Choose the Perfect Wedding Day Shoe

How Low Can You Go?

Find the Perfect Heel Height for Your Wedding Day!

“What size heels should I wear?” As common as this question is, there really is no right or wrong answer. It all comes down to how comfortable you want or need to be on your wedding day. If you can’t imagine walking down the aisle in anything less than three inch heels, then go for it!

If a higher heel is really out of your realm, then consider these options:

  1. Try a smaller heel. There are some fabulous looks out there right now. Rock a kitten heel and be comfortable all day.
How about a wedge heel to prevent the wobble and walk without care on the lawn? Plus, they won’t get dusty, you can wear them for years to come.
  2. Dressy sandals look great at an outdoor venue and they don’t have to break the bank. Try DWS Bridal and Evening Shoes for ideas.
  3. Or, sweet ballet flats might be just the thing for dancing the night away. Account for your hemline if you decide to go this path.
  4. Finally, you can always tough it out and wear a gorgeous high heel through the ceremony then switch to more comfy shoes. Who’s looking? You’ll probably be barefoot anyway.

Are you taller than your groom? Ask him to wear shoe lifts. Shoe lifts are inserts that are placed right inside the shoe and instantly lift the heel by one to two inches.

Whatever you decide to wear on your feet is ultimately up to you. Comfort, beauty and style? There’s no reason you can’t have them all!

From Our Clients

Made such a big difference!

Working with Charlotte was one of the easiest and best decisions I made for our wedding. She and Marissa provided hair & makeup services for my wedding including 8 bridesmaids and my mother. Working with Charlotte was a breeze from the second I contacted her. She was quick to respond to email, even from vacation, and made sure all my questions were answered clearly. I brought a few pictures to my trial and she did exactly what I was thinking/wanted on the first try! The contracting, payment schedule, etc. is clear and easy to follow. It was much easier to pay for the services in advance instead of collecting money from my bridesmaids on my wedding day.

On the wedding day, Charlotte and Marissa arrived exactly on schedule and were setup and ready to go. They were nice, friendly and easy going about small changes to the schedule due to coordinating 10+ people. My bridesmaids are still talking about how funny and nice they were. Everyone loved how their services came out, and my wedding pictures look GREAT because of it! My mother was nervous about airbrush makeup application, but Charlotte talked to her about it and showed her how it's applied. She felt comfortable and got it done- it made such a big difference!
For the nervous bride, consider hiring Charlotte & Company in the "easy" column. You will get prompt emails, clear answers, professional services & advice, an exact schedule for the day with room before the wedding start time and a very relaxing day of getting ready. For me, that was a big part of my wedding day and my memories of it are so warm and wonderful because of Charlotte & Company!
